It all started with a small music event in 2005 where we invited local bands to give their best appearance. Over the years it grew to what it is now: a three day festival with its own recording studio, pressing plant and record label.

Back in 2005 we hosted our first event by inviting some local bands who were all connected to the same basketball club. The founders of dunk!festival were also connected by this basketball club. Soon the festival became an organization of its own, ran by those enthousiast music fans. Read more on dunkfestival.be.

In 2011 dunk!records came to life and started releasing music on vinyl from the start. After years of slowly growing the label we decided to start pressing our own records (and of course for many other labels) in 2018. More on that at dunkpressing.com

Also in 2018 we started reshaping our headquarters to make it of better use for musicians from all sorts of backgrounds. At this point we are able to offer a full sized recording studio and different dedicated rehearsal spaces for professional musicians as well as local heroes. With this development, bands or artists can book their rehearsal space, studio time, present their work on our stage, have their album mastered and pressed on vinyl. All by the same motivated team working closely together.
